Han. Ad. Grønirisk (European Greenfinch, Carduelis chloris)
|
Finch - bill shape is cone like (for crushing seeds) and rather heavy for the size of bird.
Males often rather easy identified by there more intense green (with a wash of yellow) colour(s) and with a bright and beautiful yellow along the edge of the primaries – giving the wing a yellow line.
Not many birds are aware of that during the spring the males becomes much more colourful than during the winter - they are staggering beautiful at close range.
