Stor overraskelse at kunne finde denne flotte dagsommerfugl, som oven i købet er en stor sjældenhed! Dog foregår der lige pt. (primo juli 2014) den størst registrerede indflyvning i DK nogensinde af Østlig Takvinge med den kraftige, meget lune østenvind.
Sommerfuglen ligner en stor Nældens Takvinge, men især tegningerne på bagvingerne er anderledes.
